Hey, we get it – Los Angeles is a big city. Not only are there endless opportunities for coffee stops, beach visits, and celebrity sightings, but the metropolis also boasts an absolutely massive catalogue of events. Even on a daily basis, the list of things to do can certainly seem a little overwhelming at times. Somewhere, among the hazy smog that engulfs the city, lies a hotbed of culture and

Last week, CTRL Collective opened their doors to unveil their Haunted Carnival event, an open space where the lines between Halloween party, VR showcase and carnival were blurred. The self-dubbed “creative campus,” which has locations in Denver, as well as several throughout Southern California including Downtown and Pasadena, held this event in Playa Del Rey.   Upon initial arrival to Queen Mary’s Halloween offering, you’ll know exactly which direction to head towards for the entrance, because a gigantic, thunderous flamethrower will occasionally fire off into the air, causing a bright flash and loud roar. This is your welcome into the park – once you make it inside, you have entered Dark Harbor, an entire fantasy nightmare-land sprawling across the boat’s deck, and even spilling onto

Exactly. Joking aside, this time of year,
