Marriott does Coachella “The W Way” with Luxury Yurts Designed After their Bali, Hollywood, Barcelona, and Dubai Locations

the W, a Marriott International brand, created a unique, one-of-a-kind experience for their SPG and Marriott Rewards members during Coachella (Weekends 1 and 2), showing festival goers that doing festivals “the W way” is the way to go. Marriott created four beautifully designed yurts, made to resemble W Hotel properties in Bali, Hollywood and Barcelona, and Dubai, The Palm (set to be the first W Escape in the Middle East). Marriott Rewards and SPG offered members the opportunity to bid their points for the chance to stay in one of the four yurts.

The W is a brand that has always been dedicated to music; Marriott is doing Coachella “the W way” by providing a more exclusive, upgraded experience for the music lovers who were in attendance. Each yurt is modeled after a hotel location that features Sound Suites, which include private music studios and writers rooms for artist to utilize the space as needed, further reinforcing the W’s commitment and dedication to music. All Coachella festival goers, whether they are a Marriott Rewards or SPG member, were invited to the “Loyalty Lounge”, located in the general admission area, where concert goers had the opportunity to relax, refresh and recharge.
