On Monday, February 8, The Hollywood Reporter hosted its 4th annual Nominees Night at Spago Beverly Hills, celebrating the talented artists who were nominated this year for an Academy Award which included Alicia Vikander, Sylvester Stallone and Sam Smith. The event, presented by American Airlines, Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills, Roberto Coin, Woodford Reserve, and Fiji Water, has become one of the most highly anticipated evenings of the awards season.
To make matters even better, Sam Smith took over the mic during the evening to sing I’m Not the Only One, followed by Spectre’s Writings on the Wall and Stay With Me. He is nominated this year for best original son in a movie in James Bond: Spectre. The last time a James Bong movie won an Oscar for best original song is none other than Adele in 2012 for Skyfall. He will be up against some big contenders including Lady Gaga and The Weeknd, so it will be interesting who takes the crown this year for best original song in a movie.
