Tahj Mowery got on stage and performed hits from his recent EP, Future Funk.
Julie Lewis, a 31 year HIV survivor and mother to Ryan Lewis of the Grammy award-winning duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, was this year’s recipient of the Nelson Mandela Changemaker Award, presented by the Africa Rising Foundation, The Nelson Mandela Foundation, and PTTOW. Julie was honored for her contributions to improving access to comprehensive healthcare in communities impacted by HIV/AIDS through the 30/30 Project, which she founded in 2014. The 30/30 Project works collaboratively to provide people around the world with the same access to treatment and care that Julie has been fortunate enough to receive since being diagnosed with HIV in 1990.
