On Wednesday, November 5th, Galerie – the highly curated and refined neighborhood restaurant and cocktail lounge located at 8226 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046 – held it’s launch party on the Sunset Strip. Neighboring the historic Chateau Marmont and cult-followed Are We on Air? kiosk-o-thèque, Galerie presents a culture-forward destination, blurring the boundaries between gastronomy, mixology, art and entertainment. The launch event welcomed tastemakers from a cross section of industries including: Jesse Metcalfe, Paris Brosnan and model girlfriend Alex Lee-Aillon, Luca Falcioni and model agent boyfriend, Oly Innes, Devon DeJardin, Nikko Santo Pietro, Darren Kennedy, Jack Siebert, Maeta, Chris Van Dusen, James Goldcrown, Eden McCoy and artist boyfriend Jonathan Heit.
Formerly a 24-hour coffee shop and a Japanese restaurant, and most recently operating as The Den, Galerie brings an entirely new concept to the Sunset Strip, designed to feel equal parts beautiful and timeless. Founded by two Angelenos, Trae Meyer-Whalley and Simon Pompan, Galerie introduces a unique destination to the city, where evenings naturally flow from refined dining into a vibrant, culture-rich after-dark experience. With a refined European meets classic Hollywood aesthetic, Galerie serves up an elevated take on classic American dining with French influences. The restaurant’s experience extends beyond dining, with weekly live Jazz and a rotating lineup of guest music curators, as well as a dedicated art program with quarterly rotating exhibitions. Crafted by Executive Chef Gabriel Lindsey – formerly of Dudley Market – together with Partner and Lead Advisor, Chef Ben Ford, the culinary offering is an ode to classic Hollywood. The seasonally evolving menu showcases fresh locally-sourced California bistro ingredients, with an emphasis on bold yet and elevated flavor combinations.
