designLAb celebrates PDC’s 40th year with a site-specific commissioned installation in the Blue Lobby by 2J that considers the history of Cesar Pelli/Gruen Associate’s ground-breaking vision for the Pacific Design Center. Other Lobby exhibits include an installation by Won Ju Lim and Kenny Scharf’s Daisymobile (1975/2014), a Pontiac automobile the artist re-interpreted in terms of his iconic exuberant style. On view from March 24 – July 31.

Invite Only – A Westweek highlight is the celebration of PDC’s annual Stars of Design ceremony, honoring Southern California’s most prolific talents for their accomplishments, commitment to excellence and contributions to their profession across the creative disciplines. As part of the Design Center’s anniversary milestone, this year’s invite-only cocktail party pays tribute to nearly 200 past honorees awarded over the past 20 years.
