Last night, a star-studded crowd celebrated the ninth annual amfAR Gala Los Angeles at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. The black-tie affair was nothing short of spectacular, honoring Grammy Award-winning artist Katy Perry and TOMS Founder Blake Mycoskie for their efforts and support in the fight against AIDS. Charity and beauty filled the room equally as guests enjoyed flowing glasses Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Champagne and Absolut Elyx Vodka signature cocktails. Actor Darren Criss opened the night with an acoustic medley of some of Perry’s top hits over the years including Teenage Dream, White Horse, Roar, California Girls, and many others. Later in the evening, Katy offered a surprise auction donation to amfAR – a day out at Disneyland and Club 33. The crowd was blown away by the $160,000 top donation for her generous and selfless offer to this amazing organization. Celebrities including Heidi Klum, Orlando Bloom, Robert Pattinson, Robin Thicke, Victoria Justice, Stephanie Shepherd, Chris Tucker, Carmen Electra, Kat Graham, Sarah Hyland, Victoria Justice, Eve, Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow, and many more came together to raise money and awareness for the organization. To date, the amfAR Gala Los Angeles has raised more than $14 million for amfAR’s life-saving research programs.
