Hollywood stars were treated to some southern hospitality at the opening of Restaurateur John Kunkel’s brand new location, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar Los Angeles. Actress Jamie Chung kicked off her birthday celebration with a group of friends including her co-star from The Gifted, Blair Redford. The group were some of the first in Los Angeles to indulge on menu items created by Chef Patrick Rebholz such as Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N’ Waffles, Lobster Mac N Cheese, and Fresh Premium Cold Water Oysters. The fashionable group toasted to the actress’ birthday with Yardbird’s signature cocktails Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade and Watermelon sling. Jennie Garth, of Beverly Hills 90210 fame, who has been celebrating the launch of her Wicked Good Pies in a Jar, satisfied her sweet tooth with delicious desserts from James Beard nominated Pastry Chef Hedy Goldsmith. Yardbird Southern Table & Bar Los Angeles located in the newly renovated Beverly Center, also used this time to shed light on the John Wayne Cancer Foundation with a very special performance by granddaughter Jennifer Wayne and the ACM nominated group Runaway June. The celebration continued with additional guests like Candice Cameron-Bure, Valeri Bure, Ryan Rottman, Ashley Scott, Damien Wayans, and Tracy McGrady who enjoyed the sounds of celebrity DJ, Jus Ske.
