Candiani Denim kicked off their 80th Anniversary with a Celebration at their Los Angeles based Development Center in DTLA

Candiani Denim, recognized Italian excellence throughout the world and the first European denim manufacturer, celebrated its 80th Anniversary at their Los Angeles based Development Center on Thursday, March 22nd. Surrounded by local editors, influencers and notable faces in the denim industry, the brand celebrated 80 years of premium denim, while also revealing their brand new Re-Gen Denim Anniversary Fabric and A Workwear-Inspired Series with Atelier & Repairs. The event was catered by Terroni, with music spun by Lindsay Luv.

To celebrate this historic milestone, Candiani Denim has created its most sustainable denim fabric yet, the Re-Gen. The Re-Gen Denim is the result of Candiani Denim’s experience and ten-year commitment to a production process that combines ethics and aesthetics. All yarns woven into this fabric are made of regenerated material and do not use fresh cotton. Its inimitability also lies in the use of the dyeing technology Kitotex. With this technology, Candiani uses 30% less energy, 50% less water, and 70% less chemicals because Kitotex fully replaces PVA and other harmful substances and pollutants, cutting drastically the use of chemicals in the dyeing and finishing process. The Re-Gen Denim is a super-selvage fabric that combines 80 years of denim heritage with the most advanced sustainable technologies. Twelve garments inspired by an evolved and contemporary workwear were created purely out of Re-Gen Denim in honor of the Anniversary. This series of pieces, presented in Los Angeles at the Candiani Denim Development Center in March will be available for sale exclusively by Tenue de Nimes in Amsterdam, one of the most relevant stores for denim culture throughout the world.
