The California Milk Processor Board (CMPB) launched “California Thrives on Milk,” a month-long series of free educational wellness events centered on improving the nutritional access and education to families in Los Angeles. Hosted by E! Network reality stars Liz and Carmen Milian from Christina Milian Turned Up lead a cooking demonstration (Recipe below) for the children of Hands4Hope LA and share their own favorite healthy recipes featuring milk. Christina Milian was in attendance as well to support the cause. As part of the celebration, a $4,000-dollar donation was given to Hands4Hope LA to help fund educational, leadership and enrichment programs.
For Spring Rolls: 6 Spring Roll Paper 8 Strawberries 1 Mango 1 Apple Lemon Mint Leaves Water for Soaking Wrappers
For Sauce: 1/4 Cup of Honey 1/2 Lemon Water for Thinning Sauce
Directions: Pour water into a shallow baking pan or bowl (large enough to fit wrappers). Soak wrapper in water for about 30 seconds, remove and place on cooking surface. Assemble fruit inside wrapper (1 at a time). fold like a burrito sealing the ends and slice in half. Repeat until you have used all of the wrappers then stack on a plate.
