Last night, Barry Sternlicht, Chairman & CEO of Starwood Capital Group, celebrated the grand opening of his mission-driven brand, 1 Hotel West Hollywood, alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Zoe, Sara Foster, Jamie Foxx, Diplo, Chantel Jeffries, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Nikki Reed, Hannah Bronfman, Lance Bass and Lola Lennox. Guests were treated to a special performance by Annie Lennox’s eldest daughter Lola. Lola performed several classic covers while her mother was spotted front row cheering her on. Keeping in line with the brand vision for food and beverage responsibility, their team manages an on-site 100% organic vegetable and herb garden that supplies food to our menus. Local community, ecology, and biophilic design inform the presentation of the hotel site and interior spaces. For example, 75 tons of “urban lumber” was recovered from local fallen trees by Angel City Lumber and consequently used to create planters and other design elements at the hotel, keeping these trees out of the waste stream.
