Venice Beach welcomes a touch of Greek serenity this July with the opening of KASSI, the Hotel Erwin rooftop destination set to invoke an easygoing escape right at home. Inspired by the duality of California and Aegean appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and art of slow living, the Wish You Were Here Group set to capturing the essence of Greece’s generosity and sophistication—the warmth of its people, the allure of its style, and the timeless joy of its way of life. Design begins with elements of earth and sea, designed to evoke the feeling of being on a private terrace somewhere between Mykonos and Malibu. Located on the rooftop of Hotel Erwin, KASSI draws from the allure of the Greek coast with nods to California to create a rustically chic-yet-playful interior infused with a timelessly romantic airiness designed for guests’ revelry that comfortably seats 185 guests. The 6,000 square-foot al fresco layout encourages lingering, conversations and stillness with materiality telling a story of warmth and tradition.

Guests will delight in a menu that celebrates effortlessness, featuring sharable coastal flavors, vibrant cocktails, and dishes inspired by the breezy flavors of California’s coast helmed by Chef Partner Thomas Lim. A vibrant and shareable culinary program designed to match the mood, the menu at KASSI is at once light, joyful and coastal. KASSI will open for all-day service from 11:00 am – 10:00 pm, Sunday – Wednesday and from 11:00 am – 12:00 am Thursday – Saturday. Reservations for KASSI can be made via OpenTable with ample availability for walk-ins to accommodate neighbors and locals. Valet and street parking will be available to guests.
