Silverlake got a pleasant surprise from French Artist Vincent Lamoroux (photo via) this weekend. He took The Bates Motel (4301 Sunset Blvd.) that is about to be demolished, and literally painted it all white for his art installation Projection. Projection is described as a “temporal intervention into an iconic piece of LA’s architectural history and urban lore”. The installment gives a fresh touch to the neighborhood and for some amazing instagram pictures that we cannot keep our eyes off of #ProjectionLA. Make sure to stop by and experience it for yourself. The official opening reception will be from 3-6pm on April 26th.
