On Tuesday, February 6th, the worlds of art, fashion and music collided in celebrating the opening of the US premiere of Oliver Leith and Matt Copson’s opera ‘Last Days’, with an exclusive after party at Chateau Marmont. Inspired by Gus Van Sant’s film of the same name, the opera had previously enjoyed a successful run at London’s Royal Opera House before making its one-night-only debut in the U.S. at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with the LA Philharmonic. The evening’s performance featured Agathe Rouselle (from “Titane”), conducted by Thomas Adés, and boasting costumes by Balenciaga, Last Days received acclaim for its sold-out performances. The enchanting after party was produced by Svetlana Marich, Photonia Art Event Production Company founder, with support from TCOLLECTION Private Contemporary Art Foundation, of art collector Tatiana Fileva. Chateau Marmont saw DJ sets by Caroline Polachek, Skrillex, Melody English, Danny L Harle, and True Blue, with performances by roaming magicians.
