Sharon Stone Debuts Her First Art Exhibition at The Inaugural Opening Of Gallery 33 at The Georgian
Shedding, a Prelude is actress Sharon Stone’s artistic debut, showcasing at new exhibition space, Gallery 33, at the soon-to-re-launch landmark hotel, The Georgian. In celebration of Women’s History Month, Sharon Stone hosted a private preview for close friends and family on Thursday, March 2nd. From guests to staff, the event was exclusive to women (with the exception of Sharon’s son, Roan) and honored Gallery 33 and The Georgian’s commitment to championing female artists, patrons, and thought leaders. Through these works, Sharon Stone’s originality and creativity exist in harmony, both elevating one another.
Displayed within Gallery 33 for 3 weeks, Stone’s 17 paintings range from pensive figures to energized abstractions and meditative landscapes. One is easily immersed into Stone’s world with a feeling of nostalgia, of sentiments familiar, washing over through viewing her work. Her landscapes transport you to places familiar yet dreamy. Elements of abstraction flow into mystifying landscapes, seen through the repetition of ominous moons and the large brushstrokes that evoke the texture of bark. Her figurative works are balanced through her subject’s vulnerability and strength, each with a unique character. Within her abstractions, there is an undeniable intimacy linked to one’s thoughts and the waves and patterns they form. Pay attention as one’s eyes chase the painting with the same pace as thoughts fading in and out of one’s mind. A cathartic meditative experience begins to envelop one from their surroundings. The exhibition is available via appointment only. Pieces are available to purchase, with pricing from $30,000.
