We caught up with Mr. Stinson in NYC at the Ludlow Hotel for a few questions…..

1. How does it feel to impact someones career the way that you do (see their growth in their industry)?

As a boutique firm, I love to take a personal based approach when it comes to signing new clients, we are very selective. Each client can call my cell any time they need me. The most beneficial aspect of my career is to guide these clients to accomplish goals that they never thought possible. PR is a thankless job most of the time but when milestones are met all the hard work becomes worth it. I cherish each client like family.

2. Do you cater specifically to each of your clients’ needs?

Yes, Relevant Relations has a wide array of clientele ranging from supermodels, fashion brands to NFL Athletes. Each client has an extremely different and personalized media approach, target audience and PR strategy.

3. What are some dos and don’ts as a publicist?

Always be honest with your clients with realistic expectations, never guarantee or promise something you cannot deliver. A lot of egos are in the Entertainment Industry and I pride my company with choosing up and coming artists and brands that are willing to trust me to grow their empires with integrity and respect.

4. What was a stressful time as a publicist where you swooped in to save the day?

During NYFW a few years ago, I was producing an event alongside Flaming Flower Productions for V Magazine honoring Editor in Chief Stephen Gan which Lady Gaga performed her entire album and one of our major sponsors pulled out last minute and I literally was on the phone while running through the NYC streets hours before the event to replace the sponsor and ended up getting Microsoft Surface to save the day. Oy Vey what a stressful day, however, the event turned out amazing and it was all worth it in the end.

Relevant Relations currently has a wide array of clientele ranging from supermodels, musicians, fashion brands, actors, charity foundations, films and NFL athletes.
