Passion Pit has seemingly been under the radar for the last few years, with their third album Kindred slipping onto the charts. With a smaller presence, the indie-electronic band has since been playing smaller venues. Wednesday evening’s show, on October 28th, at The Wiltern was nothing short of energetic.
The band opened with an oldie but goodie, Little Secrets, getting the crowd pumped for a lively show. Passion Pit slyly shied away from playing too many songs from their latest album, cleverly slipping them into the hour-long set. The show ended with a performance of Sleepyhead, a personal favorite and had me walking away humming the tune for the rest of the evening.
The Wiltern is my favorite venue in Los Angeles-something about the art deco that makes me feel like I’m stepping into history. It was a fun evening full of good vibes, good music, and good times. The fun continued for the official show after party at Break Room 86.
