Clandestine in nature, Offsunset is a private retreat from the conventional, presenting a unique bar and lounge discreetly located on Los Angeles’ iconic Sunset Boulevard. Reserved for friends and family only, the space is without signage and photography is prohibited, presenting a space which beckons guests to truly be themselves. The space officially opened on Thursday September 23rd 2021 and has brought together notable personalities from the worlds of fashion, music and sports entertainment. To-date, Offsunset has welcomed the likes of Kid Cudi, Tom Holland, Jasmine Tookes, Malia Obama, Jaden Smith, Brooklyn Beckham and Ben Simmons and Dwight Howard.

Open on Thursday and Saturday evenings, with high-level DJ and entertainment programming, patrons of the unique private club can expect to experience the city’s most respected talent. Offsunset’s line-up is neither published nor promoted, making every night a surprise, where the likes of Diplo, Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat have performed. Intimate enough to unite everyone in the room and large enough to get lost in the night, inside Offsunset, an Old Hollywood-inspired interior is revealed. As soft blush and warm amber glow, cascading chandeliers hang over blue and pink tufted booths, leading to an elegant bar. At the center of the room, eyes are drawn to a 13ft photograph of Los Angeles-born model Hailey Clauson, representing the next generation of Hollywood glamour. Shot by Jullien Herrera, Clauson can be seen posing in a modern interpretation of the iconic black and white Brigitte Bardot Cigar photograph originally taken by Terry O’Neill on the set of ‘The Legend of Frenchie King’ in 1971.

Created for guests to bask in the present, privacy is paramount at Offsunset. What happens within the space never sees the light of day. Photos and social media are forbidden, as phone cameras are discreetly covered upon arrival. For each evening at Offsunset a bespoke guest list is created, and entrance one night does not guarantee the next. Taking into account the night’s unannounced performer as well as patrons’ energy and contribution to the club’s experience, those who are permitted to visit Offsunset enter a silent agreement to keep the night confidential.

Having been unoccupied for over 10 years, Offsunset is situated in the same location where the renowned Hyde was created. The bar and lounge bring to life the vision of co-founders Stafford Schlitt, Shyon Keoppel, Gunner Safron and Costas Charalambous. The team of entrepreneurs and hospitality trailblazers have been responsible for the development and conception of celebrity-driven private events; groundbreaking hospitality institutions including 1OAK, Hyde, SLS Hotels, Katsuya and Greystone Manor; as well as major real estate projects across the city.
