On Thursday night, the Art of Elysium hosted an art auction and exhibition to commemorate its 20th Anniversary at newly opened there-there gallery in Hollywood. The affair gathered over 200 supporters and influencers in the arts and entertainment community. Notable guests included Aaron Axelrod, Ali Larter, Beth Grant, Charlie Day, Gary Baseman, George Bryne, Gregory Siff, Hayes Macarthur, James Georgopoulos, Jennifer Howell, Shepard Fairey, Stephanie Beatriz, Tim Headington and Tom Franco. On display at the exhibition curated by Domenica Dunlap and Eli Consilvio, were 20 pieces of artwork by 20 of the hottest contemporary US and international artists of the moment: Cole Sternberg, Enoc Perez, Fay Ray, Gary Baseman, George Bryne, Gregory Siff, James Georgopoulos, James Verbicky, Jordan Sullivan, Lauren Greenfield, Nathan Wong, Oliver Jeffers, Rives Granade, Rob Reynolds, Russell Young, Ryan McCann, Sebastien Leon, Shepard Fairey, Todd Hido and Wayne Pate. The online auction available through Paddle8.com, a partner of the Art of Elysium for 5 years, launched on the night of the event and will end on Tuesday, August 29th in conjunction with a private cocktail gathering for the donating artists and the charity’s strongest supporters. The organization, which has served over 340,000 children, elderly and homeless individuals and 20,600 artists to this day, looked back on its nonprofit programs beginning in 1997 with its mission remaining the same today to inspire others through artistic expression. The 20th Anniversary event was sponsored by Postmates with support from Moët & Chandon.
