Restaurateurs Nick Tsoulos, Nick Pashalis, and Marc Packer are bringing the famed Avra Estiatorio experience and vibrant scene from New York to the West Coast, offering diners traditional Mediterranean cuisine with an emphasis on fresh seafood, flown in daily from Europe. The new 11,000-square-foot restaurant with 240 seats, designed by the award-winning architecture and design firm, Rockwell Group, is reminiscent of a classic Mediterranean restaurant with a modern twist. On April 26th, Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Ellen Pompeo, Selma Blair, Nicole Scherzinger, Anthony Mackie and Michael Chiklis, celebrated the grand opening of AVRA Beverly Hills with a seafood galore buffet. Chris Noth, Emile Hirsch, Nicole Murphy, Joan Skivers, Jon Voight and Luis Ortiz were also in attendance for the restaurant’s grand opening, mingling with friends and guests, while enjoying the large seafood bar. Sex and the City fans stopped the infamous Mr. Big for photos as he wandered throughout the restaurant while Super Model, Cindy Crawford sat with hubby Rande Gerber as they munched on Avra’s specialty dishes. Guests toasted with Moët along with Avra’s specialty cocktails, and enjoyed a selection of Avra’s signature Mediterranean dishes including, Crispy Zucchini Chips, Chilean Sea Bass Souvlaki and Tuna Tartar.
