Hey, we get it – Los Angeles is a big city. Not only are there endless opportunities for coffee stops, beach visits, and celebrity sightings, but the metropolis also boasts an absolutely massive catalogue of events. Even on a daily basis, the list of things to do can certainly seem a little overwhelming at times.
Somewhere, among the hazy smog that engulfs the city, lies a hotbed of culture and entertainment – you just have to sift through the haze to find what’s best. That’s why we over at LA Guestlist have done the work for you and put together the seven hottest, freshest, and most Los Angeles events we could find for you in the week of December 3rd – December 10th. Something for you each and every night.
We’ll try not to break your wallet, either.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 4th
Every year, the world of cinema is taken aback by bold, innovative new films in every genre. As we begin to inch closer to the end of 2017’s calendar year, the Hammer Museum is celebrating the best of this year with near daily screenings of some of the top picks. Most have something extra – like Get Out with a Q&A by director Jordan Peele, or the opportunity to see films like Molly’s Game or Downsizing before they release to the public.
Today’s screening (the first of the series) is Mudbound, with a Q&A from Dee Rees, Mary J. Blige, Jason Mitchell, and Garrett Hedlund. You can grab tickets to this, as well as any of the other screenings here.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5th
Another awesome film screening event, holiday classic Die Hard will be screened at TCL Chinese Theatres. Before the film, screenwriter Steven E. de Souza as well as actor Dennis Hayden will be available for a Q&A.
You cab grab tickets here.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6th
This Wednesday, The Den on Sunset is inviting you to join their warm lodgings, at least to pretend like you are escaping the clutches of a cold, snow winter. Snowball fights, photo booth, Children’s Hopsital toy drive, Fireball Whiskey ice luge, and much more are all on the agenda for the night.
The night kicks off at 8 PM.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7th
Another fantastic Thursday night show! This week, we would like to highly recommend Syd, lead singer of The Internet, on her first solo tour after the release of her two projects Fin and Always Never Home.
You can grab tickets here.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8th
If you know anything about James Blake, you shouldn’t need an explanation. If you don’t, familiarize yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAJgs1P-uUE

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9th
A “one of a kind event” at Museum of Contemporary Art (which ishighly worth checking out on its own merit), this pairs a guided meditation excercise with the Museum’s fantastic space. There aren’t many op;urtunities to experience the art, or access to the building, in the same way.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10th
On it’s second day, the neighborhood of Echo Park will be holding its annual Craft Fair, featuring work by over 120 artists and artisans. An incredibly immersive and explorative fest, food, drink, crafts, art, and more will be available.
The fair opens at 10 AM in Echo Park.
