On Thursday, December 18th, Fai Khadra hosted a holiday soiree at The West Hollywood EDITION to unveil JOY, a commissioned work in honor of the festive season. Luminaries from the worlds of fashion, design, art, and entertainment gathered together at the Lobby Bar to celebrate the masterfully designed installation, a reimagined Christmas tree made of magnified vintage-inspired ornaments. The installation is uniquely framed by Italian travertine in soaring lobby, and Sterling Ruby’s SCALE (EDITION), that pays homage to the Sunset Strip’s art-driven cultural energy. Joined by friends and family, including Simi and Haze Khadra, Justin and Hailey Bieber, and more, Fai saw the Lobby Bar come to life with holiday joy. To accompany the artist’s installation, an exclusive cocktail, Holiday Highball was created – a bright, seasonal concoction of Woodford Reserve, Yuzushu, lemon, sweetened with a honey-maple syrup, and topped with lime & yuzu sparkling water.

Visitors to the Lobby Bar can enjoy Holiday Highball for the remainder of the month. Guests who check in during the month of December will enjoy a special amenity inspired by JOY: a “fallen ornament” that pays homage to the delicate hand-blown glass ornaments of holidays past, much like the orbs that make up the tree. A chocolate ornament that appears to be broken hides within a gingerbread cake infused with warmth and spice, offering a gentle reminder that sometimes joy appears in unexpected places: even among the beautifully broken pieces.
