On Saturday May 21st, the Los Angeles LGBT Center hosted An Evening with Women at the Hollywood Palladium. The annual gala featured musical performances by Macy Gray, James Blunt, and Tal Wilkenfeld along with a stand-up routine by comedian Fortune Feimster. Lorri L. Jean (CEO, Los Angeles LGBT Center) and Pauley Perrette (NCIS) spoke at the sold-out event, which included red carpet arrivals, a cocktail reception, seated dinner, silent & live auctions and more. Guests celebrated the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s mission of building a world in which LGBT people can be healthy, equal and complete members of society. James Blunt performed his popular song You’re Beautiful among other hits. Event co-chair Brent Bolthouse revealed that the event would be Linda Perry’s last year co-chairing An Evening with Women; an event that she developed in 2009. The crowd gave Linda a huge applause thanking her for her years of service. Macy Gray closed out the night performing her hits I Try and Beauty In The World along with unique covers of Radiohead’s Creep and Pretenders’ Brass In Pocket.
