Last night, singer Evan Ross kicked off the summer by celebrating the launch of the new app, MeWe, The Next Gen Social Network. A true techie himself, Ross spoke to guests about the app and how it protects its user’s privacy on social media. As a father, it is extremely important for Ross to have a controlled place where he can post photos of his daughter for his personal friends and family without the worry of the images showing up on an internet search. While Ross is also currently making an album with his wife Ashlee Simpson, he uses MeWe as a platform to share snippets with their fans and followers without worrying about a social network owning it.

Ashlee and her husband had a parents night out as they celebrated the new tech venture; the singer donned a vintage tee with a black leather jacket. The two were spotted snapping photos and posting on the next-gen social media site. Simpson danced with her husband to tracks spun by DJ Devin Lucien while party goers sipped on Me and We cocktails made with 50Bleu. Additional celebrities in attendance included Cassie, Paris Hilton, Malika, Cody Saintgnue , Rachel McCord , Jessica White and Aldis Hodge.
