Oakley turned 50, and they didn’t mark the moment quietly. On Saturday night, July 12, at its Interplanetary HQ in Southern California, Oakley had an epic party celebrating the past five decades and the future of the brand. Chief Visionary Travis Scott dropped a surprise performance for the VIP crowd, wearing unreleased Plantaris Squared and custom Oakley apparel. The high-energy set mixed intensity with euphoria complete with immersive visuals and pyro theatrics. Travis also debuted music from JackBoys 2, dropping marking the first time the track was ever performed live. To close out the night, Grammy Award-winning diamond-certified producer, DJ, and artist Metro Boomin took the stage wearing Oakley Ellipse.
Hosted by Terry Crews, Oakley’s SoCal HQ was transformed into an all-out atrium party space. Guests, including Saweetie, Yara Shahidi, Keith Powers, Delilah Belle Hamlin, Iann Dior, Salehe Bembury, Erick the Architect, and Destiny Jones, showed up to celebrate. The party capped off a 48-hour immersion at the Oakley Interplanetary Headquarters, where Team Oakley athletes, disruptors, and A-listers convened in Foothill Ranch, CA, to experience the past, present, and future of the brand. Fifty years is a milestone, but Oakley is just getting started. This celebration honored everything Oakley has built while making one thing clear: they can’t and won’t sit still. Built on rebellion, fueled by innovation – Oakley’s future is already in motion.
