The 7th Annual Children Mending Hearts “Empathy Rocks!” Fundraiser was held in a beautiful private residence in Malibu, California which overlooked the Pacific Ocean on June 14th, 2015. The goal of Children Mending Hearts is to empower disadvantaged youth through educational and arts programs. Various celebrities from ‘young hollywood’ showed up to support this great cause. Children Mending Hearts honored several individuals who have exemplified the organizations goals and values. Ambassador Nicole Avant received the Ambassador of Peace Award, and Lucy Hale presented actress Shay Mitchell with the Global Citizen Award. Holland Roden accepted the Cast of Heroes Award for the whole cast of teen wolf and said that “giving back is a pretty amazing thing”. Jesse McCartney handed the Empathy Rockstar Award to recording artist Zendaya, and said that she looks better every time that he sees her. To entertain the crowd, one of Los Angeles’s youngest band featuring 8-year-old Colin Love on bass, 7-year-old Elliot Korzen on drums and his 9-year-old brother Oliver Korzen on guitar and lead vocals The Negotiators took the stage for some great jams.
