On January 28th, G’Day USA Hosts Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths honored prominent Australians Dr. George Miller (Mad Max) and Joel Edgerton (The Gift) for their individual contributions to the US-Australia relationship at the 2016 G’Day USA Los Angeles Gala, at Vibiana, in Downtown Los Angeles. The talk of the night was newly engaged couple, Mariah Carey and James Packer, who showed off her massive ring, and also just how close the bonds are between Australia and the United States at the G’Day USA Gala, the annual program that fosters and celebrates deeper ties between the two countries.
G’Day USA honors prominent Australians from film, television, music, sports and culture for their individual contributions to the US-Australia relationship. The Gala is the premiere event in the overall G’Day USA 2016 program. Held annually since 2004, G’Day USA remains Australia’s foremost program of public diplomacy promoting a broad range of Australian capabilities in the United States.
