Influencers from the worlds of art, design, entertainment, music, fashion, philanthropy, tech, and business gathered for a private evening celebrating the launch of GENERAL PUBLIC x RH on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at RH West Hollywood, The Gallery on Melrose Avenue. Hosted by RH Chairman & CEO Gary Friedman and GENERAL PUBLIC Founder & CEO Portia de Rossi, the event also featured celebrity appearances by Ellen DeGeneres, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, January Jones, Kris Jenner, Ellen Pompeo, Elizabeth Chambers, Johnny Knoxville, Nacho Figueras, and more. Guests enjoyed gourmet bites by Nobu and sipped on drinks from the Casamigos Margarita Bar, fresh bellinis by Cipriani NYC, and curated wines by Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley with music by DJ Chelsea Leyland. RH has announced an exclusive new partnership with GENERAL PUBLIC, a first-of-its-kind art curation and publishing company founded by award-winning actress and artist, Portia de Rossi, that creates exacting 3-D reproductions of original works by a select group of emerging and established artists across the globe. GENERAL PUBLIC’s revolutionary Synograph captures texture and brushwork in such detail that it is nearly indistinguishable from the original. This unique marriage of art and technology enables the artist to create multiple reproductions of an original, thereby making it available to the general public, as opposed to just one collector.

The GENERAL PUBLIC Collection for RH features paintings from artists Koen Lybaert (Antwerp), Kali Sanders (Los Angeles), Seb Sweatman (Johannesburg) and Paul van Rij (Amsterdam). The collection is prominently featured throughout the Spring 2018 RH Interiors and RH Modern Source Books, which includes dedicated insert with artisan profiles that can also be seen at RH.com, RHModern.com and at select RH galleries across the US and Canada.
