Global Green kicked off Oscar week once again this year with the green event of the week on Wednesday, Feb 24 at the Mr. C Beverly Hills Hotel. Global Green rolled out the green carpet that welcomed Hollywood’s eco-conscious celebrities and allies as they arrived in eco-friendly cars to raise funds and awareness for Global Green’s ongoing initiatives. Guests enjoyed appetizers and meals from an organic menu featuring Mr. C’s world-famous Cipriani cuisine, including a baked tagliolini with mushroom vegetarian option and a risotto alla Cipriani vegan option.
Charlie Puth opened the show before headliner Stevie Wonder came on stage, where he was joined by his children who surprised Wonder with the Global Green Hero Award for being an environmental leader. After a brief speechless moment Wonder gathered his thoughts and urged his children to “encourage the young people of your generation to value the planet everywhere they go.” Closing out the evening, guests made their way to the hotel’s top-floor ballroom for the after party and enjoyed dancing, mingling and a view that spanned from the Pacific Ocean to the iconic Hollywood sign. Notable attendees included: celebrity attendees including Paula Abdul, Ed O’Neil, Emily Ratajkowski, Matt Walsh, Heather McDonald, Courtney Love, Josh Radnor, Daphne Zuniga, Justin Baldoni, Maggie Grace and Radha Mitchell.
