Francesca Aiello, founder of swimwear line, Frankie’s Bikinis debuted her resort 2019 runway show, along with the brand’s first ever RTW collection in Downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, June 21, 2018. In attendance were front row guests NBA player, Blake Griffin, Corrine Olympios, Kamille Kostek, Dylan Jagger Lee, Aemilia Hamlin, and more.

The inspiration for the show was the drift racing cultures of Tokyo. Models—Josie Canseco and Delilah Belle Hamlin strutted down the runway in bikinis adorned with racing motifs of snap buckles. The ready to wear collection featured nylon pullovers, track pants and vinyl coats.

“All our girls aren’t just wearing Frankies Bikinis on the beach, they’re wearing it everywhere, so the ready-to-wear collection is based on the idea that our girl can drift her style from tomboy to flirty girl next door,”says the swimwear brand’s founder, whose Malibu roots are reflected in her designs.

Following the runway show, the fashionable crowd mingled at the after party with cocktails courtesy of Los Sundays Tequila while some playful guests partook in arcade racing games from Dirty Lemon Arcade, a IGK/T3 Micro hair station, and Cocofloss photo activation.
