Sourcing Los Angeles Culture

Chelsea Otto Ferary Has Mastered 6 Instruments Since Age 4—And She’s Just Getting Started

At just 19, Chelsea Otto Ferary is already living the kind of story most musicians only dream about. But talk to her for a few minutes, and you quickly see—this isn’t about viral fame or luck. It’s about heart, faith, and years of putting in the work.

Chelsea laughs when she remembers being barely tall enough to reach piano keys. “I grew up with music my whole life,” she says. Her parents encouraged her to try different instruments, and she ran with it—adding piano, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, violin, ukulele, and clarinet to her repertoire before most kids even learned multiplication tables. But behind the discipline is something deeper. “I’m grateful for those experiences,” Chelsea explains. “But balance comes from God—my faith in Jesus is my priority in this journey. He always protects and guides me.”

From LA Inspiration to London Opportunities

Growing up in Los Angeles gave Chelsea both a playground and a classroom. Her friends may have seen the city as a backdrop to hangouts and beach days, but Chelsea soaked in the melting-pot music culture around her. “Living in such a diverse area has really helped me create music that listeners can feel drawn and connected to,” she shares.

As she prepares for the next chapter in London, Chelsea says she carries the energy, culture, and love of her LA roots with her. “My faith in God first, knowing He will supply all my need, gives me the confidence to pursue my dreams,” she adds, her voice steady with conviction.

Big Dreams, Grounded Spirit

Her goals before turning 21 aren’t just big, they’re bold: creating her debut album, auditioning for more film roles, and the dream-come-true possibility of landing a Teen Vogue cover. She’s also got her eye on collaborations—rising artists Zach Templar and Malcolm Todd are on her radar, while indie icons like SZA, Clairo, and Beabadoobee sit high on her ultimate wishlist.

Still, Chelsea’s not pretending the journey is easy. “Never give up,” she says simply. “If you keep pushing through disappointment and setbacks, that should be your fuel to reach your goal. The right people will notice your persistence and determination.”

Advice For Anyone Dreaming Big

Chelsea doesn’t gatekeep when it comes to advice. “Gain as much experience as you can, take the opportunities, don’t be shy, put yourself out there,” she encourages. “You never know where it will take you.”

She makes it sound simple, but then again, Chelsea lives her words. Her new single “Ego”—which dropped September 5 across all platforms—is proof she’s taking every chance to share her music with the world. And while her path is expanding from LA to London, Chelsea is carrying her hometown’s inspiration, her faith, and her fearless spirit with her every step of the way.

Chelsea Otto Ferary isn’t just a rising artist; she’s a 19-year-old navigating her dreams with honesty, resilience, and heart. And if “Ego” is any sign of what’s to come, we’ll all be watching her journey unfold.
