Chateau Marmont “Hollywood Handbook” by André Balazs & Kiosk-o-Thèque Anniversary
On February 27th, Chateau Marmont and the acclaimed culture platform and media brand Are We On Air? Are came together to celebrate Hollywood’s biggest night. Hosted by Arman Naféei, founder of Are We On Air? and former Directeur d’Ambiance at Chateau Marmont, the iconic hotel took over Sunset’s Boulevard’s curious Kiosk-o-Thèque toasting to the re-release of Hollywood Handbook, by André Balazs. Taking place during Oscars week, the evening also celebrated the kiosk’s 1 year anniversary with the launch of exclusive new merch from Chateau Marmont in collaboration with Are We On Air? A limited run of 100 “Do not disturb” bookmarks and t-shirts are now available to purchase in addition to the book and Chateau Marmont’s classic hats and t-shirts. From 6pm, Los Angeles’ cultural tastemakers gathered curbside at the Kiosk-o-Thèque, before heading to the invite-only after party at Bar Marmont. Guests partied until the early hours with music by Arman Naféei, Acyde and Alessandro Francalanci. Attendees included: artist, Nadia Lee Cohen; actor, Lily Rose Depp; Marta Pozzan; actor, Paloma Garcia Lee; actor, Nico Greetham; artist, Ariana Papademetropoulos; fashion designer Alessandro Francalanci; founder of Are We On Air? and former directeur d’ambiance at Chateau Marmont, Arman Naféei.
Arman Naféei is the host and creator of culture podcast Are We On Air? and former Directeur d’ambiance at the Chateau Marmont in LA. After a chance meeting at Jay Joplin’s White Cube Gallery in London, Arman Nafeei was handpicked by André Balazs in 2010 as the Music Director of all of his properties including The Boom Boom Room at The Standard Hotels, Sunset Beach in the Hamptons, celebrity favourite Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, and the Chiltern Firehouse in London. The Kiosk-o-Thèque launched in February 2024, located on the iconic Sunset Boulevard opposite Chateau Marmont. The space presents a newsstand meets bookstore meets record store meets art gallery meets recording studio — a cultural hub and gathering space for hailed as “the Sunset Strip’s Hotspot of the Moment” by The Hollywood Reporter.
