Open – Utah Jazz star guard Donovan Mitchell will celebrate his rookie season with fans at the adidas Sport Performance store in Santa Monica on Tuesday, June 26. adidas will hold an arcade-style Pop-A-Shot tournament in-store for fans starting at 4:30 p.m., prior to Mitchell’s arrival. The winner will then challenge Mitchell upon his arrival at 5:30 p.m. Fans interested in participating are invited to visit the store starting today. Mitchell recently transitioned from wearing his adidas “Rookie” gear to apparel featuring “Spida” with the official Dictionary.com definition: “A basketball species usually found above the rim; equipped with superhuman senses, shot-slinging abilities and unrivaled balance.” The Pop-A-Shot tournament winner will receive a special “Rookie” and “Spida” kit from Mitchell and adidas and all participants will receive a special adidas T-shirt. In addition, the first 125 fans who spend $200+ on any merchandise at the store from Saturday through Monday will receive a customized “Rookie” hoodie and a “Rookie” or “Spida” hoodie on Tuesday, while supplies last. Following the Pop-A-Shot tournament, Donovan will sign autographs for fans on a first-come, first-served basis.
