Open – On May 28th, 2019 adidas will celebrate a momentous anniversary in LA sporting history with the help of the local community and baseball players Justin Turner and Kike Hernandez.
It was on this day in 1957 when National League owners voted unanimously to allow Brooklyn’s Baseball team to move to Los Angeles, changing the face of L.A sports forever and becoming the catalyst for the construction of one of the cities most iconic sporting destinations. To celebrate the milestone, adidas will host a day of music, gear customization, food and a live art installation at much-loved baseball fan eatery, Philippe’s.
In honor of the 1957 calendar year, Philippe’s will offer fans their famous triple dip baguettes for $1.57 USD, served alongside beer and soda. During the event, attendees will also be able to sign up for adidas’ membership program, Creator’s Club and receive gifts and gear to then customize at the Maker Lab on-site.
The L.A community is invited to indulge in the festivities with the three stripe brand to commemorate the special moment in baseball history. Following the event, Turner and Hernandez will swap the street for the stadium where they will face-off against New York in a historic game.
