To celebrate the beloved Hunger Games franchise coming to an end and to thank fans for their unending support, Lionsgate and Samsung have launched The Hunger Games Global Fan Appreciation Event. The event took place on October 31st, 2015 at Samsung Studio LA with the cast including the main characters Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. On the website, fans from all over the world were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite film moments and fan art, leading to a Hunger Games Tribute Event, which celebrated the fandom. Fans in attendance were treated to an exclusive first look at the all-new “Real” clip from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 and front row seats at an intimate Q&A with Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, hosted by MTV’s Josh Horowitz. Additionally, fans were given the opportunity to watch The Hunger Games virtual reality experience on the Samsung Gear VR and to check out the exclusive new Mockingjay app on the Galaxy Tab S2.
