Rihanna & King Combs Dance-Off at The Velocity Black x 1 OAK / Up & Down Desert Beach Club

The Velocity Black x 1 OAK / Up & Down Desert Beach Club kicked off the biggest music festival weekend of the year with two unforgettable parties. Hosted by Richie Akiva, Darren Dzienciol, and Ronnie Madra, together with Velocity Black, the elite mega-mansion was transformed into resort style beach club complete with plush day beds, cabanas, and its very own lake. Velocity Black, a global membership club known for curating the most memorable experiences, kicked off the annual star-studded pop-up with an epic day party. A-listers including Chanel Iman, Taylor Hill, Paris Hilton and Shay Mitchell enjoyed sounds by DJ Taco while guests enjoyed massages by Zeel App masseuses.

The carefully curated crowd of industry elite included appearances by Virgil Abloh, Poppy Delevingne, Jordyn Woods, Brooklyn Beckham, Russell Simmons, Imaan Hammam, NFL superstar Ezekiel Elliot and Rita Ora were spotted dancing and greeting her friends as Tyga kicked back and people watched with his crew. Guests beat the heat with cocktails by Absolut Elyx and D’usse, Budweiser beer and food by Catch LA. Later in the night, Victoria’s Secret model Josephine Skriver celebrated her 24th birthday at the desert beach club. The late night party included the likes of Rhianna, Drake, The Weeknd, and girlfriend Selena Gomez. Guests including Matt Bellamy, Jayden Smith, Odell Beckham, Nav and French Montana were treated to a DJ set by Pizza Boys (Kendall Jenner and Daniel Chetrit), as Travis Scott got on the mic hyping the crowd after his late-night set at the festival grounds. Supermodels Jourdan Dunn, Hailey Baldwin, Jasmine Tookes and Georgia Fowler were decked out in their festival attire as they let their hair down joining the jam-packed dance party that took place under the stars. Guests sipped on drinks by Bertaud Belieui and Redbull as they kicked off the music festival weekend.
