Karen Bystedt Collaborated on “The Lost Warhols” with Various Artists including Chris Brown for “Andy at Hyde”

Karen Bystedt is a renowned photographer known for “The Lost Warhols” Collection, where she shot Andy Warhol, as she puts it, “Andy Warhol the model, not Andy Warhol to the stars”. “The Lost Warhols” collection rocked the contemporary art world at its premiere at ‘Photo LA’ in 2013, capturing an intimate and rare look at the iconic artist, Andy Warhol. The photos, which were once lost in an early move after Bystedt left New York, resurfaced in her LA garage where she found a box of Warhol contact sheets and the negatives dating back thirty years.

To keep “The Lost Warhols” fresh with the current times, Karen Bystedt teamed up with Peter Tunney, Gregory Siff, Spencer Mar Guilburt, Drew Merritt, Danny Minnick and rapper Chris Brown. Chris Brown has been dabbling in the graffiti scene for quite some time under the name Konfuzed and is making his mark in the art scene. All artists, including Chris, put their own spin on Karen Bystedts pictures with their own personal style. Karen said that “Andy would be happy with these pieces”. Guests got to view and purchase the artwork on November 4th, at Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails with all of the artists involved present including Chris Brown, who was rocking his brand new H&M x Balmain jacket that he had just picked up before the event. Sponsors included 50 Bleu Vodka, personal favorite Sicky Eyewear, Adapt Technology, Artists Corner Studio and interBLOK. Non-profit @interBLOK was also benefited from sales of the night. Chris Brown, Karen Bystedt and Spencer MAR Guilburt had the opportunity to sign the magnum bottle donated by 50 BLEU vodka. The bottle went for auction at the event and all proceeds of the sale benefited interBLOK. The event was produced by friends Luis Al Calderon and Cottrell Guidry.

You can catch the remaining pieces of “Andy at Hyde” at Gallery GO 947 N. La Cienaga Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069
until December 1st. from Monday – Saturday / 12-5pm
