Co-Founders Samantha Futerman and Glee actress Jenna Ushkowits hosted their 1st Inaugural Event for their charity The Kindred Foundation. The foundation focuses on helping adoptees have a outlet to get into contact with their families. The two pair feel strongly about this cause because they are both adoptees themselves, and want to help people that are in the same position that they were.
The pair had their hollywood friends stop by to support the event, which included a large part of the Glee cast, who just finished shooting their last episode. Sarah Hyland, from Modern Family, also stopped by to show her support. She knows Jenna, one of the co-founders, through their co-starring role in Hairpsray. Emma Roberts also made an appearance for the occasion.
Both Samantha and Jenna showed a lot of inspiration and excitement when they took the stage to talk about their foundation. This followed by a breathtaking performance from Glee star Alex Newell who left the crowd speechless. Afterwards, Jenna Ushkowits and Sarah Hyland took his place, and even said “This is going to be a hard performance to follow.” The duo sang Let It Be by The Beatles, and had all of our hearts filled with joy.
