Open – Malibu Country Mart, Southern California’s premier lifestyle center, celebrates the end of summer with its 6th annual Summer Block Party. On Saturday, August 11, the shopping center transforms into a colorful street fair, and Malibu locals, friends and families are invited to bid farewell to summer by enjoying an afternoon of exciting activities for all ages. The Summer Block Party is from noon to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

The fun-filled event, which turns Malibu Country Marty into a street fair, offers activities for all ages including face painting, a hair braiding station, a petting zoo, caricature portraits, Henna tattoos, spin art and Tarot card readings. A mobile photo booth will be available to capture guests’ favorite moments and take home as a fun keepsake. A Steel Drum Trio and a DJ will provide music throughout the event to keep the party hopping. Complimentary refreshing treats will be available and will include ice cream, snow cones, mango coconut balls and more! For those looking to adopt a furry friend, Catty Wagon will have adoptable kittens to meet in their custom-built, mobile adoption vehicle created just for kittens. The Catty Wagon makes it possible for thousands of shelter kittens to find forever homes.
