Ticketed – Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr, will be playing at Teragram Ballroom in LA on October 14th (He’ll also be playing The Observatory in Santa Ana on 10/13 too). Pitchfork premiered his recent solo record, Momentary Masters, which takes its name from astronomer Carl Sagan’s Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space. Recorded in a converted barn at Albert’s home in upstate New York, these songs roll big topics (finding innocence again after experience, ego vs. id, how we fit into the universe…) into breezy lines of sharp indie rock.
