Twitter Hosts #CultureCollective Event featuring Yung Jake and Metro Boomin

Twitter hosted #CultureCollective on January 28th at MAMA Gallery, an evening celebrating the new wave of creators which included a mix of influential musicians, artists to social media power players. Famed producer Metro Boomin (known for producing tracks for artists such as Drake, Future and Travi$ Scott) provided sounds while visual artist Yung Jake showcased his notorious emoji-inspired celebrity portraits.

Twitter transformed the art district’s MAMA Gallery into a 4 room interactive experience. #TheBlueRoom is a traveling lounge that Twitter has present at most events including red carpets. IRL Confessional Room inspired by MTV’s Real World, guests were asked to answer playful questions while being broadcasted live from MTV’s Periscope account with followers commenting back in real-time. #LivingRoom was a plant-filled sanctuary was put in place to juxtapose the digital heavy atmosphere taking it back to the roots (a world sans social media). Finaly with the Yung Jake Room where he curated a series of celebrity portraits on Twitter, rendered sans paint, brush or canvas. MAMA Gallery was packed to the brim that night with influencers throughout.
