What a Year! Looking Back at our Top 16 Parties of 2015 in Los Angeles, California

Even though Mercury was in retrograde several times in 2015, LA Guestlist blazed forward alongside the beautiful and the crazies. After an entire year of covering events throughout Los Angeles, we have compiled a list of our all time favorites. Out of hundreds of events, it was not easy paring it down to our goal of the Top 16. Several factors played into our decision such as overall ambiance, promotional swag and above all originality.

1. Rihanna’s Anti Album Artwork Release Viewing

Rihanna has been teasing us with her new album Anti all year long, so we decided to go back to the day that she unveiled the title and artwork for Anti. We won’t call you out on your bluff Riri, but c’mon we’ve been waiting long enough.

2. La Mer’s 50 Years of an Icon

La Mer dazzled us with their setting at Siren Studios depicting an underwater scene and topped it off with a generous quality gift bag filled with La Mer swag.

3. The Neon Carnival

If you’ve ever been to the Neon Carnival, then you know and if you don’t know, now you know.

4.

6. Rolling Stone + Google Play Grammy Party with the Weeknd and Childish Gambino

Out of all of the Award Parties this year, The Grammy’s had the best week. It could be due to the fact that we get some of the best performers at events surrounding the show, because everyone in the music industry is in town. The one that took the crown this year was the Rolling Stone + Google Play Grammy Party with a performance by the Weeknd who had just released Earned it from the 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack.

7. Burberry’s Show ‘London in LA’ at Griffith Observatory

Yes, that was the fashion show where Anna Wintour sat front row next to David Beckham and his youngest daughter Harper for one of the cutest picture moments.

8. go90 Launch with Kanye West

Kanye West gave an intimate performance the day before his two 808s and heartbreak shows at the Hollywood Bowl, now that’s what you call VIP.

9. Just Jared’s Summer Fiesta

Just Jared’s Summer Fiesta stands out because it was pouring rain that day. Hollywood’s finest came out anyway to play in the mud, which is a side of this town we don’t often see.

10. LACMAs 50th Anniversary Gala

LACMA’s Anniversary raised a whopping 5 million dollars.

11. Casper’s West Coast Take Over

We welcomed Casper with open arms as they threw the most notable West Coast House Party with a performance by Warren G.

12. Samsung Studio LA Launch

Samsung has been positioning its products with some of the trendiest. The launch of Samsung Studio LA, across from the Grove, definitely made them a powerhouse this year.

13. Absolut Elektric House

The Absolut Elektric House pushed the modern age boundaries even further by creating an extra modern house with robots, laser beams and a performance by Empire of the Sun.
