Think about the overwhelming crowd at the Coachella Music Festival. Now think of a pool party with great music headliners, not during Coachella madness, in the middle of Palm Springs at 3 different hotels all within a mile from each other. The first installment of Splash House 2015 took place during June 13 & 14 weekend at the Saguaro Hotel, the Hilton Hotel and the Hacienda Cantina and Beach Club. In the 100 degree spa heat that is Palm Springs, better be by a pool or air conditioning or else don’t even bother. Guests wore as little cloth as possible to make it through the heat, and enjoyed themselves like no other by ‘splashing’ around the pools of all three hotels. The music was perfect for this type of setting with Cashmere Cat, RAC, and Anna Lunoe amongst many others. Some of the memorable sets of the weekend included Justin Jay’s set at Saguaro on Sunday with his backing live guitarist and vocalist, and Thomas Jack’s 2 hour closing set at Saguaro on Sunday. This weekend literally defined the term “fun in the sun”, as long as you wore enough sunscreen.
