Pandora Summer Crush 2015 Gathers Major Talent for Free Concert at LA Live

On a hot summer day in Los Angeles, as we are getting closer to school starting again, Pandora teamed up with Amazon Students among lots of other great sponsors to let the youth make some unforgettable summer memories. Pandora is not shy of bringing free events to the fans with major talent onstage. The 2015 Pandora Summer Crush which took place outdoors at LA Live was filled with talented musicians including openers Fifth Harmony, Tory Kelly, Rachel Platten and Who is Fancy.

As we waited for the main headliners to take the stage, we took a tour of the entertaining set up Pandora and various sponsors had set up. Too many freebies that we would actually re-use were giving out including a Pandora Summer Crush trucker hat, binoculars from Acuvue and a gas card from Chevron. Our favorite spots was the ASICS bouncy house and the L’Oreal Photobooth.

It was time for the headliners to take the stage, who both have recently come out with a new album. Jason Derulo took the stage with his slick moves and dazzling voice. I did not realize that Jason Derulo had so many hits, because I knew every single song that he sang. He gives his performance everything that his got especially sweat. No wonder why he ends up having to take off his shirt during his set. It also helps that every inch of his body is made of defined muscles. he said that using his creativity enables him to get things off of his chest.

Pandora kept things diverse by bringing world-renown DJ Steve Aoki to the stage to close out the evening. I don’t even know how he was functioning, because according to his instagram, he had been playing 4 shows in 24 hours. That did not stop Steve Aoki to deliver a set that made the crowd go wild between songs from his new album Neon Future II and classics including Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. He said that he was excited to see Los Angeles sing along to his new track I Love it When You Cry feat. Moxie. The time finally came for the infamous cakeage to take place. I wonder if Dim Mak, Steve Aoki’s label, has it’s own pastry chef because there was a total of ten cakes thrown. Steve Aoki is the cake master, I don’t even know how he managed to throw the cakes from the stage across the media section into the crowd. watch video HERE. Pandora Summer Crush was definitely the highlight of my summer, thanks to Pandora and all of the sponsors for making it happen.
