Ladies, Frost Yourselves with Panthère de Cartier

“I love the energy in here,” a smiling Alicia Keys shares with the crowd at Milk Studios for Cartier’s launch of the Panthère de Cartier watch.

We totally agree! The iconic French luxury brand Cartier throws one of the 2017’s best parties celebrating the release of the Panthère watch, originally debuting in 1983 but not produced since 2004. Academy Award-winner Sofia Coppola, who directed a short film for the watch starring Courtney Eaton and Donna Summer’s daughters, Brooklyn and Amanda Sudano, hosted the special “Golden Hour” event alongside Cyrille Vigneron (CEO/Cartier International) and Mercedes Abramo (President/CEO Cartier North America). Greeted with bubbles from waiters in formation down a long black hallway, guests like Sienna Miller, Miranda Kerr, Kirsten Dunst, Rachel Zoe, Dree Hemingway, Haley Bennett, Olivia Culpo, Poppy Delevingne and Dylan Penn sipped on champagne and noshed on raw oysters and caviar from the never-ending seafood bar. Michelin-starred chef Thomas Keller (Bouchon, French Laundry, Per Se) catered an A-List lineup of food, serving his famous friend chicken and personally preparing hot dogs for attendees. Black and gold themed, Cartier elegantly transformed this huge sound stage into Old Hollywood boudoir complete with a large center bar, elevated performance stage, dance floor and our favorite touch: golden palm trees. New York soul Lion Babe kicked off the night’s entertainment getting all the fashionistas warmed up for headliner Alicia Keys. Wearing a beautiful purple blazer, this 15x Grammy-winner serenaded the crowd, singing her biggest hits (“Fallin,” “Fire,” “Empire State of Mind”) in a powerful yet intimate performance. With smart phones waving in the air sharing stories on Instagram, the audience sang along with Keys, sipping more bubbly and snapping selfies to capture the moment. Mark Ronson capped off the night with an energetic 90s hip hop flavored set that got LL Cool J, superstar chef Wolfgang Puck and Pop & Suki CEO Leo Seigal all dancing, with Next Top Model’s Winnie Harlow and activist Shaun Ross posing for photos while cool DJ duo SimiHaze partied with friends. This Panthère de Cartier watch event was an unforgettable evening, bringing back memories of lavish Hollywood events from the past. “Some people want it all,” sang Alicia Keys, I just want Cartier to throw a party every week.
