La Crème de la Crème of Parties for La Mer’s 50 Years of an Icon Celebration

La Mer’s Celebration of an Icon in honor of their 50th anniversary was pure magic. If you want to stay Forever Young as Jay-Z might say, your one and only remedy is this ultra luxury skincare brand known for its iconic and transformative Crème de la Mer. Developed in 1965 in California by Dr. Max Huber, La Mer is crafted with hand harvested sea kelp from the Pacific Ocean.

For those who don’t know, ‘la mer’ means ‘the oceans’ in french, which was the theme for La Mer’s 50 Years of an Icon on October 13th, 2015 ironically at Siren Studios. The red carpet itself titled the “$3 Million Wall” was constructed of $3,200,000 worth of the iconic and coveted Crème de La Mer jars. Hollywood beauties including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, and Chrissy Teigen who are known for their flawless skin attended this spectacular event. side note: Congratulations Chrissy on your pregnancy!

Co-hosted by Estee Lauder Companies Inc. President, John Demsey, Crystal Lourd, Jamie Tisch and Quinn Ezralow, La Mer transformed the 26,000 sq. ft. studio space into a highly immersive special event at Siren Studios. As you entered, you were faced with a giant Crème de La Mer jar, that you could step in to watch a 360 degree short film titled The Dr. Max Huber Story. Passed the larger than life jar, a projector took up the entire wall of the open space to display under the sea images, it felt as if you were actually under the sea. In between the hors d’oeuvres and photo-booth, The Atomics took the stage with a high energy performance of their new single, Too Late (on itunes). You probably won’t believe us, but the evening ended with flying motorized balloon sharks and enough Crème de la Mer product to keep our skin endlessly young.
