Kiehl’s LifeRide for Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance 2-Day Motorcycle Ride Celebration

Maintaining its mission of philanthropy, Kiehl’s Since 1851, the venerable New York-based purveyor of fine quality skin and hair care, continues to expand its LifeRide motorcycle project and rode through Los Angeles this September in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance. The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA) is the largest global organization dedicated to advancing private ovarian cancer research, advocating for increased federal research and awareness funding and further policies that support women and their families before, during and after a diagnosis.

During Kiehl’s LifeRide for OCRFA, motorcycle riders, led by Kiehl’s President Chris Salgardo, rode through the LA area, making stops at Kiehl’s stores and, with President & CEO Audra Moran, educated customers on the work and importance of OCRFA. The two-day, multi-stop charity ride took place September 21-22 2016. Salgardo led the group of five riders, including actors Gilles Marini, Grant Reynolds, Scott Patterson, and tattoo artist Luke Wessman, around the Los Angeles area, making stops to meet customers at the Kiehl’s stores at Sherman Oaks, Santa Anita, Victoria Gardens, Robertson and Santa Monica. At each stop, the public was invited to meet the riders, learn more about OCRFA, and contribute to efforts that provide all women with access to life-saving treatments and services.

The ride concluded with a finale at the Kiehl’s store in Santa Monica, and the official announcement of Kiehl’s donation of $25,000 to OCRFA, hosted by Kiehl’s President Chris Salgardo and OCRFA President & CEO Audra Moran. Guests were treated to a live DJ, Tito’s Handmade Vodka open bar, and other refreshments from FOODLAB.
