INSOMNIAC Countdown 2015 featured an Ice Rink for the first time ever

On most new year’s eves, people are glued to their television screens with their loved ones close by, all anticipating the annual ball drop in New York City to ring in the new year. On the final night of 2015 , Insomniac chose to ring in this years second annual Countdown of 2015 with an even bigger bang than last years. This year has been a more anticipated Countdown that took place At the National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino, covering 60 acres with three incredible stage productions and unique amenities to satisfy every festival goers delight. More than 30 of Electric Dance Music’s top artists arrived to ring in the new year welcoming die hard fans as well as new comers.

The night was unforgettably lit with new beginnings, because each stage was structured for the best experience to ring in the new year. Stages were illuminated by over 1,900 lights, 1,500 video tiles, and 34 lasers spread out through the fair grounds. For the first time in Insomniac history, there was a miniature ice rink with a DJ Cats n’ Boots that filled the entire tent with PLUR (peace, love, unity, and respect). VIP attendees walked down a glittering gold carpet to the VIP lounge directly next to the main stage. The lounge provided signature NYE-cocktails, a s’mores bar, and bites from The Grilled Cheese Truck. VIP’s also had the privilege to spend the night in plush seating, glow in the dark party favors, holiday décor, NYE-themed photo booths, a ‘kandi’ bracelet making station, and enough bubbly to ring in the new year at midnight. DJ Snake performed a mind blowing set on the main Resolution Stage that measured a staggering 140 feet wide and 500 feet long at midnight. TJR rang in the new year at the Infinity Stage. Bassrush ushered in 2016 at the Quantum Stage. 600 pounds of colorful confetti rained on a smiling crowd of couples, friends, and even some family for the new year.
