Hublot and Chelsea FC Celebrates their British Team’s Arrival in Los Angeles

On July 28, Hublot joined together with the world renowned Chelsea FC to celebrate the team’s arrival in Los Angeles, and the unveiling of the Classic Fusion Chronograph Chelsea FC. Following the UEFA EURO 2016 games, for which Hublot served as the official watch, this day marks yet another extension of Hublot’s deeply invested interest in global football and ongoing support of the Hublot Loves Football campaign.

Hublot U.S. Managing Director Jean-François Sberro hosted an exclusive event with the team, who is visiting Los Angeles as part of their North America tour. The event took place at the Sony Pictures Studios, an iconic Hollywood space, as Hublot welcomed friends of the brand and media to celebrate the evening. The full squad attended the event alongside the team’s new head coach, Antonio Conte. The night brought numerous British elements to Hollywood including iconic red phone booths and black taxicabs, mini fish & chips with honey vinegar, artisanal ice cream in clever British flavors, posh London ladies in fascinators serving Moet & Chandon “Minis”, Belvedere martinis in “Chelsea” blue, and interactive photo opportunities with London icons and Chelsea’s famous Stamford Bridge stadium. The team itself kicked off the event arriving in a customized blue London double-decker bus before greeting Angeleno fans and media. Notable attendees included Jeremy Piven, Nigel Lythgoe, and Dontaye Draper.

For an only in Hollywood twist, however, the team honored their visit by leaving their footprints and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’ handprints in a cement cast (ala Hollywood Walk of Fame) which will be sent to the Chelsea FC museum in London. Music was provided by DJ Kiss, sponsored by Chelsea FC partner Beats by Dre, which kept the crowd and players engaged until it was time for the team to get back on the bus to continue for their summer series of matches in the U.S.
