Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Pharrell and Chris Martin Support UCLA Neurosurgery at the 2015 Visionary Awards

Celebrities, musicians and supporters of the UCLA Neurosurgery department came together last night at the 2015 Visionary Ball at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel hosted by Jeff Probst. Hosted by Dr. Neil Martin, Chairman of the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery, the Visionary Ball honored Roma Downey and Mark Burnett with the Visionary Award. Chris Martin presented Cameron Burnett with the Courage Award, Brad Garrett was honored with the Rodney Respect Award and Mel Cheatham, M.D. with the Medical Visionary Award.

Guests enjoyed an opening performance by soul violinist Lee England Jr. followed by Pharrell Williams closing out the evening with his performance. The Visionary Ball supports education and research in the Department of Neurosurgery at UCLA while celebrating patient successes and providing guests with a first-hand view of innovative technologies used by UCLA neurosurgeons. Proceeds from the event will benefit UCLA Neurosurgery research and education programs. The Department has consistently ranked among the elite programs in the nation and always as #1 in Southern California.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin, The Voice’s Gwen Stefani, Pharrell, and Blake Shelton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Everyone Loves Raymond’s Brad Garrett, CSI’s Marg Helgenberger and more were among the celebrities that came to support the Visionary Ball. The event helped raised critical funds to support patients who face the most complex neurological disorders.
